This Privacy Policy explains how JPS Tree Services (“JPS Tree Services,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit jps-tree.com, request an estimate, call or text us, or otherwise contact us. We are a family-owned tree care company based in Wethersfield, Connecticut, serving Glastonbury, Rocky Hill, Farmington, Avon, Marlborough, and communities within about 25 miles.

We do not sell your personal information. By using our website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you, quote your job, and do the work.

Information you give us. When you fill out an estimate or contact form, call, text, or email us, we may collect:

• Your name, phone number, email address, and service address
• Details about your property and the work you want done, such as tree removal, storm cleanup, emergency service, stump grinding, or seasonal cleanup
• Photos you send us of trees or your property
• Messages, call notes, and scheduling preferences
• Billing details needed to invoice you (we do not store full card numbers on our website)

Information collected automatically. When you visit jps-tree.com, our website and service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the site that referred you, and general location (city or region) derived from your IP address. We collect this through cookies, pixels, and similar tools.

Information from third parties. If you contact us through Google Local Services Ads, Google Business Profile, or another lead platform, we receive the contact details and job information you submitted there. We may also receive reviews you post about us on public sites.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Respond to your requests and provide free estimates
• Schedule, perform, and follow up on tree care work
• Send appointment confirmations, reminders, invoices, and service updates
• Answer questions and handle complaints or warranty issues

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may send messages about estimates, scheduling, job status, and occasional offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

We do not share or sell your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that help us deliver messages.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for others’ own marketing. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, email, phone and texting services, scheduling or invoicing software, payment processors, and our marketing agency. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Advertising and analytics partners, such as Google, to measure ad performance and show our ads to people likely to need tree service (see Cookies below).
• Subcontractors or utility partners when needed to complete your job safely, such as crane operators or the power company for work near lines.

• A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, understand how visitors use it, and measure our advertising. We may use Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, and Google Local Services Ads tracking.

Security and retention

We keep customer and job records for as long as needed to provide service, handle warranty or insurance questions, and meet tax and legal requirements, generally up to 7 years. Website analytics data is kept according to our providers’ standard retention settings. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, you may have the right to:

• Get a copy of your information in a portable format

Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing info@jps-tree.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond within 60 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Connecticut Attorney General.

Our website may link to other sites, such as Google reviews or Facebook. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. If we make a material change to how we use information we already hold, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and give you a chance to withdraw consent.
